Beautiful ~6" tampico whisk broom is made from agave fibers that were dyed black and lends itself to a much tender existence! Perfect for altar brooms, keeping your work bench or laptop tidy, and more!
This whisk is truly one of a kind. It is made of remnants of the production process of my other dyed whisks, saved overtime, it has the fibers of several dozen altar brooms all woven into one. This makes up the outer woven layer. The inner layers of the broom are undyed natural tampico.
The cord is also remnant, black and gold. The hangtag loop is peach colored.
Please note: dyed fibers are not safe for use around water or food. This dyed tampico broom is not natural dyed.
- All leather is reclaimed and otherwise would have ended up in a landfill.
- Slow shipping to the continental US only. You'll receive a tracking number. Sorghum & Leather is unable to ship outside the continental US, in order to keep eco footprint low as possible.
Every broom made, plants a native Colorado tree.
⁂ ⁂ ⁂ Care for your broom: Handmade brooms will last for a long time if cared for. It is suggested that brooms be hung to keep weight off of the natural fibers. If your broom starts to look splayed at the sweeping ends of the tampico, soak the end (not handle) in water for 20 minutes, shake off excess water and reshape. If needed, tie with twine or rubber band overnight. Be sure to dry very thoroughly and avoid using the broom until fully dry. The color of tampico and leather will change over the life of the broom, especially if stored in sunlight or outdoors, or from the natural oil on our hands.
