Overview of broom with a focus on shape of curved sweep
Red leather hang tag

Beautiful ~6" tampico turkey wing broom is made from agave fibers that were dyed black and lends itself to a much tender existence! Perfect for altar brooms, ritual body brushing, keeping your work bench or laptop tidy, or a plant brush!

This one is woven in red and green thin cording. It has a bright red leather hang tag. It was woven as a ritual tool for Reversal work.

Please note: dyed fibers are not safe for use around water or food. This black tampico broom was not dyed in-house and are not natural dyed, unlike most of my brooms.

  • All leather is reclaimed and otherwise would have ended up in a landfill.
  • Slow shipping to the continental US only. You'll receive a tracking number. Sorghum & Leather is unable to ship outside the continental US, in order to keep eco footprint low as possible.

Every broom made, plants a native tree in the western USA, including Colorado, California, and Oregon.

⁂ ⁂ ⁂ Care for your broom: Handmade brooms will last for a long time if cared for. It is suggested that brooms be hung to keep weight off of the natural fibers. If your broom starts to look splayed at the sweeping ends of the tampico, soak the end (not handle) in water for 20 minutes, shake off excess water and reshape. If needed, tie with twine or rubber band overnight. Be sure to dry very thoroughly and avoid using the broom until fully dry. The color of tampico and leather will change over the life of the broom, especially if stored in sunlight or outdoors, or from the natural oil on our hands.
