Sorghum & Leather Brooms are both functional and decorative. Each broom is handmade one at a time with basic tools.

This stitched hearth broom is made with natural palmyra. The handle is sustainably harvested and dried with the bark left on. The handle has naturally occurring color shift from a purple-brown to a yellow. The broomstick has been sanded and beveled.

The cording is gradient brown and the stitching is goldenrod yellow. The hangtag is brown leather. There are broomcorn seed details. The fiber is a natural dried plant and will age over time, but otherwise will withstand normal use or on display. Please keep dry and out of direct sunlight for best longevity.

Total length NOT including hangtag: ~26"

Total length including hangtag: ~29"

Materials: natural palmyra, nylon cording, reclaimed leather, wooden stick.

  • All leather is reclaimed and otherwise would have ended up in a landfill.

For every broom made, a donation will be made to plant a native tree in the Western USA, namely Colorado, Oregon, and California.
